THE PARKERSBURG ART CENTER INVITES ALL ARTISTS LIVING within a 90 mile radius of Parkersburg to submit work for IMAGINING DEMOCRACY, A JURIED EXHIBIT.
IMAGINING DEMOCRACY TIMELINE - this juried exhibit is open to artists 16 and up
Digital Submissions Due: July 4
Notification of Acceptance: July 16
Delivery: Accepted work delivered to PAC August 2-3
Opening Reception: August 9 5:30-7:30
Exhibition Closing: September 6, 2024

Tastes and Tunes: Saturday, July 13, 2024
Tastes and Tunes is back for another great night under the Edison lights on the 700 block of Market Street. This fundraiser for the Parkersburg Art Center will take place from 7-10 p.m. on Saturday July 13th and will happen rain or shine because the PAC is BIG and we can move this whole party indoors if we have to.
We are planning an evening of good food, good music and good company. This will be the fourth year for this event that combines the relaxation of a summer evening under the stars with a little fundraising to support our exhibits, public art projects and arts outreach programs.
Your online reservation will get you a concert, a full catered meal, yard games, deluxe coffees and teas and other non-alcoholic beverages. Valley Catering will be preparing multiple food stations and we will also have snacks to enjoy while you chill and listen to the music! Beers from Parkersburg Brewing Company and a selection of wines from WineDown on Market will be available for purchase (must be 21 to purchase).
Our featured musician will be Micah Kesselring! Micah Kesselring hails from the Hocking Hills of Ohio. A professional musician since the age of fifteen, Micah has played over 1,000 shows across the USA & Internationally.

Parkersburg Piccalilli Artists’ Conference: September 11 & 12, 2024
Parkersburg Piccalilli: An Artists’ Takeover is coming to the Parkersburg Art Center on September 11 and 12, 2024. This is brought to you by the PAC, WVU-P and the Arts Collaborative of the Mid-Ohio Valley.
On that Wednesday and Thursday the Parkersburg arts and culture district will be taken over by Parkersburg Piccalilli, a two day arts conference for working artists, art educators, college art students and arts organizations. This will be two days of workshops, hands-on art making, networking and celebration.
