CALL FOR ENTRIES - REGIONAL 2025: R.E.S.P.E.C.T.
If you live within 100 miles of Parkersburg WV, you are invited to enter up to five pieces of work in the 2025 Regional Show, opening Friday, July 18, 2025 at the Parkersburg Art Center.
AWARDS: Cash prizes for winners in 2-D, 3-D AND Photo/Digital, plus additional cash awards at the judge’s discretion. $4,000 in cash prizes will be awarded!
Opening Reception & Awards: Friday, July 18, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Reception is free for artists and ONE guest. Additional guests, $10 per person. Children under 12, no charge.
Entry Fees:
PAC members: First work $15, additional works $10 each.
Non-members: First work $20, additional works $10 each.
Juror: Alison Helm/WVU School of Art and Design
Sponsors: The Parkersburg Art Center, United Bank and WVU Medicine/Camden Clark Medical Center.
Theme: R.E.S.P.E.C.T.
SPECS, ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS:
Works may be in any medium other than performance art or time-based art.
Artists must be 18 or older as of 7/18/25, and live within 100 miles of Parkersburg, WV.
Artists may enter up to FIVE ORIGINAL works. No copies or kits.
Works must have been completed in the last two years.
All 2-D work must be suitably framed, wired for hanging, and be no larger than 60 x 60 inches.
3-D works may not exceed 60 inches in any dimension.
The Art Center reserves the right to refuse to exhibit any work deemed unsuitable for this show.
Artists receiving prizes will be notified prior to the opening event.
INSURANCE: Every care will be taken with each work submitted. Insurance coverage will be provided while the work is on the premises of the Parkersburg Art Center.
DELIVERY and PICKUP of ART: All artwork must be delivered to the PAC, 725 Market Street, from Tuesday, June 17 to Saturday, June 21 from 10:00 to 5:00 p.m. All artwork must be picked up at the Art Center on Saturday, August 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Artworks left at the Art Center after September 23, 2025 will become the property of the Art Center.
Curatorial Hint: “R.E.SP.E.C.T” is titled in honor of WVU Medicine/Camden Clark Medical Center’s Four Pillars of Service. The first pillar is “Compassion: We treat all individuals with empathy and respect”. You do not need to create to the theme, but a special cash prize will be awarded to the work of art that best represents COMPASSION.
